Washington Slagbaai National Park - VISITOR CENTER - HIKING TRAILS

The Kasikunda Climbing Trail is a quite challenging climb to the top of a volcanic hill. It has a considerable level of difficulty because of the uneven terrain and also the steepness of the climb. However, this challenge will be rewarded with the best view of North Bonaire since it’s possible to see all the way from the Malmok lighthouse to the one at Spelonk. .

The “Lagadishi Walking Trail” is approximately a two hour walk on a limestone plateau that provides you with a complete view of Bonairean windward scenery: historic sites, a blowhole, a true oceanic beach where sea turtles nest from May to December, xerophytic vegetation, sand dunes, a salt-pan, mangroves, flamingos and great views are some of the components of this trail.

Along the way of both trails you will find markers that will help you with your orientation, as well as interpretation signs that will inform you about the environment surrounding you.
